Calculator without search

I would like to suggest an option for Kagi to solve simple Math problems without actually show search results. I use search bar as calculator quite often, and there is no point of wasting resources by showing any search result since they are irrelevant.

No difference for the users, but benefits to Kagi. A simple calculator page would suffice if = is entered into the search bar, for example.

sleepysnooze Maybe a bang that specifically does that? I can foresee issues trying to auto detect equations like that, would be very annoying if it just didn’t show search results because of a false positive. Alternatively, for users with search suggestions, math problems could be solved in the suggestions, much like Raycast and PowerToys Run does on the desktop.

A bang would work as well, I think. Though I don't think many users would use it. Most people would use the shortest route possible to get an answer, meaning not typing bang.

I'd definitely use this. Mac OS tried to automate simple math with the = key. Math is not my strong suit so often I'll do it in the OS or search engine.

For better or for worse I use search engines for basic math calculations allll the time, and I would love to see the search results bypassed.

Simple = suffix check (+parseable expression) directly in the search bar (similar to ? suffix) should be enough for this feature.
