It seems odd that the link to the Assistant from the home page goes to a help page instead of the actual app.
It seems to be the default behaviour if The Assistant hasn’t been opened before? Either way, it’s not the expected behaviour - it should work like the Google app selector and always go directly to The Assistant.
If the purpose of the help page is to provide some onboarding instructions, those should appear somewhere on the Assistant page if possible.
If the goal is to market the feature, it should go to a landing page for the Assistant.
At the very least, the link should go directly to the Assistant if the user already has access to the service.
