Little feedback on the app:
The login fields doesn't prompt for password managers:

Kuinox I did notice that too! One problem was that the origin was detected as null, which my password manager didn't like (that's really uncommon).

In the European Union, users can choose their search engine on the Pixel Launcher (Google Pixel phone) and use something else than Google.

We can choose in a list of installed search engines, however Kagi is not listed here even if the Kagi Android app is installed.

      See: https://www.android.com/choicescreen/dma/searchengine/

      • The Kagi app is installed
      • On the Pixel Launcher, long press the search bar, settings
      • Kagi should appear in the list of search engines
Merged 3 posts from Kagi not listed in Pixel Launcher search engines (European Union).

silvenga I'm the android engineer looking into this issue and I'd love to get more insights. WDYM by the origin? Is it showing up as null when the password manager is saving the credentials or is it something else?

Kuinox Hey, it'd be great help if you share your password manager. Google's password manager seem to work but my Bitwarden doesn't show up. I'm already looking into the issue why Bitwarden is not showing up, and it'd be great to know if another one is also not working.

kadir I don't recall, but I believe my password manager (https://github.com/PhilippC/keepass2android) refused to automatically attempt to fill because it detected the origin as null (an origin I've never seen before).

For example, for logins that are just a web page, the origin is the domain of the web page. For apps that do native logins, the origin is the app id.

That said, I can't reproduce with the latest release of my password manager/kagi - so maybe something was fixed on one of the sides?

I've installed the Kagi app on Android, but trying to switch my Search provider from DuckDuckGo to Kagi for the search functionality in Nova Launcher - how can we get Kagi to appear as an option here?

I'm not sure if this is an OS/Android-wide list or specific to Nova Launcher - does anyone know how I would check this?

alextwe23 That is good news. Guess the team is on it and we'll soon see Kagi as an option when selecting search engine on Android 😀

Just curious if this is being progressed?
I see that the Kagi android app is over the 5k+ mark and I assume Kagi have to apply to be added to the Pixel Launcher Search Engine Choice Selection screen.
@Kagi have you applied to be added yet?

I thought I'd share that anyone (not just EEA countries) can enable the Pixel Launcher Search Engine Choice Selection using an ADB command:
adb shell settings put secure selected_search_engine DEF
After using the ADB command you should be able to hold on the search bar and "settings" should pop up which allows you to choose a search app. Make sure you have the app installed, I've just tested it with DuckDuckGo installed and it worked and I'm from the UK (note, I didn't have this option prior to using the ADB command........Blooming BREXIT! lol!).

I'm really looking forward to finally having Kagi as my default Search Engine on the Pixel Launcher!
