Assistant prompt box should be raised for mobile PWA

If you use Assistant as a PWA on mobile (share -> add to Home Screen with Safari on iOS, Android process depends on browser), the prompt box is all the way at the bottom of the screen, overlapping the iOS home bar and generally not looking right on screens with rounded corners.

Compare the (native) ChatGPT and Claude apps. They have a border below the prompt box that raises it above the home bar. Maybe the Assistant could add a border when running as a standalone PWA on mobile, if not all the time.

Can confirm, once you open the keyboard the model selection also moves out of the view. That should be sticky imo.

I added Kagi Assistant to my iOS Home Screen as a bookmark. When it’s launched the text field seems to be too low and you cannot put focus in it or type in it.

Should be able to focus the field and start typing.

I’ve done the same and while I agree the text field is too low I’m able to type into it no issue 🤔
Have you tried tapping on the far left of the text field where it says “Ask Assistant”?

Rebooted and I’m able to type now. I created a new Home Screen shortcut and the issue recurs. The works around is to tap in the far left corner of the screen - that pulls up the keyboard. The workaround doesn’t always work, though.

For me as well. Text field is too low. Also, when Kagi is set to Dark Mode, the top bar stays white. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
