We have the frontpage right now, showing us the search bar, seeing as Kagi is pay to use, how about giving us a "homepage" that we can use when we open a new tab in our browser. Where we can have our favorite links, change wallpaper on it, time, weather, maybe a random quote a list of previous searches, etc. Basically widgets, that we can also make our selves if we want, and ofc a search bar in the middle for Kagi.

Mostly because I'm looking for a good homepage/tab system, and have yet to find one I like. I made my own in the end, but thought it would be kinda cool if Kagi could host a system like it for its users.

      Since Kagi is a paid search, it would be nice to have a very basic "start page" that we could set our browser to. This would allow people to have a few pre-set links to websites/apps that we use. Also, maybe have local time and weather on the page.

      Think of a new tab type page, with some shortcuts to favorites websites, and maybe weather.

      To make this fit along with the Kagi theming, keep it simple, with perhaps a row where paid users could add/manage/use favorites. Also add where they could have the current local weather / time.

      This would keep things simple and lightweight on the Kagi side and also, being only a paid feature, could potentially be a draw for new customers.

      With the existing ability for custom theming through CSS, Kagi would not need to add all kinds of crazy theming tools.

        If Kagi decides to implement this, it'd be great if the browser extension were able to set the new tab page to kagi.com

          This would be perfect and based on the way things are setup, it would be pretty minimal impact to Kagi.

          jvbf Yeah that is a good idea or they could add it as an option in their search extension. Either way, I like the thought.

            Agreed, some more personalisation would be great! Maybe for ultimate users there could be an assistant sidebar too for quick chat access. IIRC Kagi's looking into document editing and email, this would fit nicely into making a "hub" for all the Kagi products a user has.

            I have https://kagi.com set as the new tab page with the New Tab Override extension.

            It would be great to be able to customize this page a bit more.

            The only issue I have with this extension is that there is no way to clear the URL automatically. You can make the extension focus on the URL bar, but you need to clear it manually to actually use the URL bar.

              Temanor Yep, same and same issue with it, but it works. Would be awesome to have a few of my main links on there.

                  This would be a very nice and simple feature.
