I’d love to add Kagi Assistant to Back Tap or the Action button. Integrating Kagi with Shortcuts to pass search text or open Assistant would greatly enhance automation and ease of use. Thank you!
This feature allows users to trigger Kagi Assistant by tapping the back of their device or pressing a dedicated action button. They can also run searches or open the Assistant directly through Shortcuts, simplifying their workflow and making the tool more accessible for daily automations. For example, I have a Shortcut that passes a query to the browser for Kagi Translate, and I could easily create one for Kagi Search as well, though I haven’t done so yet. The only limitation is that it’s currently confined to the browser.
This is already implemented for voice search. It shouldn’t be difficult to add more functionality.
