I have a couple times where I need to info about a specific company but a different countries' department.
While obv there are better ways of searching for this info than what I'm doing here, I think i'm probably not the only person who does this:
So i needed contact info about alternate germany's sales department.
I would have gotten the right result if I did sales site:alternate.de obv but I didn't, I searched for alternate.de sales
While I'm not expecting it to do a site:alternate.de search behind the scenes and only surface me alternate.de results. I do kind of expect it to put the alternate.de results at the top of the results. Maybe it would have to do a site:alternate.de search in the background but just inline it without the user even being aware it's happening? i'm not sure.
But the reason why i'm not finding it it seems is probably a combination of factors which include: Belgium has it's own alternate department and my region is set to Belgium. so it the search indexes see alternate and only push alternate.de I reckon
EDIT: actually also the fact that 'sales' is an english word so won't be found on the alternate.de site anyway in this case. I just realied
