Quick Answer is missing

Hi team,

Quick Answer is not showing on any of my searches. I have the "Auto Quick Answer" setting enabled:

That setting is just for ? queries of course. My search results don't even show the Quick Answer --> button, as seen in the docs.

Below are some screenshots. I first thought maybe it's disabled for certain categories of searches, so I tried a few different ones. Anyways, see below, and lmk if there's any other info I can provide.

I expected the Quick Answer button to be present and functional. I expected automatic Quick Answer results when I ended my search with a question mark.

Okay, this is quite possibly something on my side. After being prompted to tag the bug as Desktop vs Mobile, I tagged as desktop and submitted but then I went to try mobile and it's working as expected. See below screenshot Orion browser iOS.

User error everybody ha ha typical typical. At one point I disabled javascript but I re-enabled it during the testing for this ticket. I did not notice that kagi serves results on a different /html/search route, and so when I was refreshing my pages after re-enabling javascript nothing was happening.

My bad!

The main reason we did this back in the day was because LLMs were an order of magnitude slower than today, so it would be a pretty bad UX in the NoJS view. But they are pretty fast these days, so we can probably consider spending some time to bring at least Quick Answer to the NoJS view.
