Prioritize docs in programming lens

I noticed that when searching for “Python accumulate” (accumulate is the name of a function in the Python standard library) web search gives me the exact thing I want as link number 1, the official Python docs. But when I turn on the programming lens it gives not all that great of results.
Documentation rather than content farm material is exactly what I want, and what Kathi does better than Google. The programming lens should also prioritize this material.

I’d be able to turn on the programming lens and not fear I should keep it off

Thanks for brining this to our attention. We made a couple of changes so the situation is getting better, althorugh not entirely where we want it to be.

@Vlad Along those same lines, searching with the "Programming" facet seems to return a lot of user pages from Stack Overflow.

I don't have a multitude of data points for this, but here's one example. I tried intitle:-user and this returns no results — until I switch from "Programming" back to "All".

Perhaps something on your end could be tweaked to de-prioritize these types of results, as they aren't very information-rich for general searches.
