Laptop Zoom Interface on Maps

I would like to see the same zoom in and out buttons and zoom slider as in Google Maps, as the current trackpad-based zoom features are finicky and dependent on the size and quality of the trackpad used on a laptop.

Zooming in and out would be easier - please see the attached video from Google Maps for reference (Apple Maps have the same buttons but no slider).

FWIW on a MacBook I am finding the zooming via two finger scrolling to be quite similar to Google Maps. What kind of OS and machine are you using?

Sequoia 15.2, MacBook Pro Mid 2019. The scrolling feels more finicky despite it being at the highest speed setting at the OS level. Either way I feel the +/- and slider should be an option!

One other point to note is that some users simply prefer and may be used to non-scroll (i.e. click) functionality.
