Putting a plus before a search term does not restrict the results to only those that include that term. Below are two search strings that I would expect to return the same pages, but they do not.
gloverall +tall duffle coat
gloverall "tall" duffle coat
The search with the quotation marks performs as expected, with each returned page including the word "tall". The search with the plus returns some pages with the word "tall", but also many pages that do not.
The plus operator should restrict the returned pages to only those that contain the word with the plus in front of it.
