I was skimming through several old threads related to filtering search results by language, but they all confusingly shifted to discussions about regions. In my opinion, the search region and the search result language are two independent entities that only correlate to some degree. Regions can have multiple languages, and users may speak only some of these languages (or none at all, as in the case of foreigners).
Therefore, I would like to support some of the previous suggestions to add a feature that allows filtering search results by specific languages. From the user experience, it means he will only see the results in language he undestands.
I believe Google’s implementation is one of the best examples of how this can be done. If you have multiple languages set, it allows you to go to Tools -> Any language and change it to specific languages of your choice.
