Chatgpt does a pretty good job of hand holding people to make custom "GPT's".
While recreating the entire 'GPT Builder' experience for Assistant is probably A LOT of work. Maybe having a lite version of it. Something that knows the best practices of creating the prompt text of a custom assistant (maybe dependent on the model you choose? and maybe helping you pick the best model for the job even?) Would be nice.
Just having a "Custom assistant ... assistant " (better name pending) ui next to the "How would you like The Assistant to respond?" field on https://kagi.com/settings?p=custom_assistant would be good.
Probably something that pops out to a bigger screen because otherwise it's too cramped there.
This is my very quick and shitty ui poc:

it's a much much simpler version of the GPT builder on chatgpt... but having this would atleast be a big improvmenet of not having it.
One thing I didn't take into account in my ui is the 'gpt preview' screen on the right... it is pretty convient to be able to test, but obv increases dev complexity.
