Results links to posts on the Vintage Computer Federation Forums open the main forum page and not the specific post shown in the search results. This appears to be a problem with the URI percent encoding on Kagi. This works correctly on Google.
Steps to reproduce:
- Search for
vcf forum etiquette on Kagi.
- Click "Forum Rules and Etiquette | Vintage Computer Federation Forums" (currently the first result).
- Observe that the main forum page is shown and not the "Forum Rules and Etiquette" post.
- Replace both
%2F escapes in the URI with /.
- Remove the trailing
= from the URI.
- Navigate to the corrected URI.
- Observe that the Forum Rules and Etiquette post is now correctly shown.
I have tested this on both Firefox 132.0.2 on Desktop and Safari on iOS 18.1 with the same results.
