The assistant should display the search results it finds when answering questions. Currently, it only includes references if it directly quotes something, but these references can lack detail, leaving users uncertain about where information is coming from.
To enhance transparency and trust, it would be helpful if the assistant showed the most relevant search terms it used, highlighted key results that influenced the answer, and included any useful images or videos it discovered. This would let users explore the sources more easily, verify the accuracy of the information, and see how reliable or relevant the sources are.
For example, Perplexity does something similar by consistently showing search terms, main sources, and relevant media, so users always know where the information is coming from, even if it’s not directly quoted.
Adding a section in the Kagi assistant that shows this kind of detailed context for each search would be really helpful.
Note: Kagi doesn't need to copy the search flow but showing detailed information on the results could be very beneficial for the reasons already mentioned
