Gift subscription (instead of credit)

It would be nice if we could give someone 'a month' of kagi [insert tier]
I'm not a fan of the current credit gifting system because obv the user that gets it gifted will have credit staying on their account which feels weird.

I'm not sure if the problem is because of taxes? I assume not because you're paying taxes on the gift card, not when it's being redeemed right?

Thibaultmol Taxes are paid when it is being used/redeemed (as we do not know what location they will be redeemed at purchase time)

Vlad I was actually going to write (but i forgot) if taxes indeed have to be done afterwards, we could fill in what country they're from.

Vlad Is that really an issue? Sales taxes are paid on purchase, not on delivery.

I mean, technically giving us a 'custom' option would also fix this right?
Because then people like me who want to give the exact amount can just do the text percentage calc ourselves

I would also like to be able to gift a full subscription. The main reason being it feels like I'm just giving someone "cash" rather than a product/experience. It would be much more tidy, in my opinion, to purchase a subscription duration at a particular tier level.

It may seem minor, but it is holding me back from sharing Kagi with friends/family. Especially as the holidays are approaching.

Same with other kinds of gifting: it'd much rather gift a thing than credit to get a thing

Also it introduces the problem of: what if I gift them enough so they can do one month of ultimate (because i want them to try ultimate) but they end up getting multiple months of a lower tier instead.
