This is a feature that has been long overdue, and I've been reminded of it the other day when I was trying to find the shop where I ordered my last pair of glasses, but ultimately had to switch to Google because Kagi just wasn't up to it.
Kagi is optimized to give you "accurate" results and shines for searches where you're looking for a specific answer, i.e. Kagi is going for quality - but when I want quantity (and some searches are like that), it fails me every time, because it typically only returns 20-30 results.
There are numerous situations where you need more than that, e.g. when you are looking for a product and want to find ALL shops selling it (the small ones as well). Or when you're traveling and looking for hotels and restaurants (again, searches where there's no "correct" answer but you would expect a higher number to make your own choice). I also recall the times when webmasters would search the web for link exchange partners - for situations like this, Kagi is pretty much useless.
I was going to propose a switch (search for "quantity" vs. "quality"), but tbh I don't really understand why Kagi returns so few results in the first place. I'm assuming it's about cost, but I'm also assuming that costs will only incur if the search results are actually viewed, and in most situations, people don't go past the second results page anyway. I do get, however, that when the user is forced to fall back on Google, it is never a good sign.
