Sports and Live Score Integration

I would really love if I could see a team's match history when I look up "Some Team" and get the live score if there is an ongoing match!

I agree with this point. The ability to see future schedules, past results, and live games is a great feature. It is something that I notice the absence of in Kagi currently. Google does a good job of presenting cards for this data, but sometimes it fails. For example, the Boston Bruins season has ended, so if I currently search for them I do not see their previous match data. Yet if I search for the Colorado Avalanche whose season is still active I do see their schedule. In an ideal world, it should show me this data if their season has ended or not.

@Vlad one of my favourite ways to check sports scores is https://plaintextsports.com/ its so fast and clear to parse. Hope kagi is just as fast in rendering and fetching scores. Thanks for this feature!

Is this still being worked on? My use case is that I often search for a league, or sporting event and expect to see some overview of what's happening.

f7n No, we were satisfied with the first iteration. looks like users may want much more than that so we should reconsider. Specification welcome.

If I search on Kagi for “superbowl” right now, I’m served a wikipedia card for the superbowl and some youtube videos. If I search “superbowl score” I’m given the game’s clock and some other peripheral info but not the score. Preferred behavior would be exactly what Google produces for this query, which is a card with the current score

I found google had a pretty impressive one, as shown in screenshot. I would guess this is very useful to sports fans.

I see there is a sports widget for other (American?) sports? But at least it didn’t trigger on a football (/soccer) team the same way it did on Google.

I’d expect kagi to have similar widget, with live info, upcoming games etc. To be honest, I personally don’t care about football, but many do. And I’d guess, they would miss this from Google.

It is nice that Kagi shows you the scores of recent games but the formatting and presentation leaves a lot to be desired. It’s extremely hard to follow along what happened and when since it’s just a whole bunch of text. Secondly, as we are in the middle of playoffs in the nba and nhl, there is zero information about the series score. I have to go to ESPN each time to see where each team stands. Looking forward to improvements to this feature.

Just a follow up to this post. The warriors lost to the lakers in game 6 and there is no game 7 but kagi is still showing it being scheduled for today.
