Better still would be to have separate shortcuts for different assistant modes!
archpareto true, but because they're limited in the amount of shortcuts they can have for a given app. that wasn't really an option probably
This is what it looks like atm.
for those that don't know: you have to long press to see these shortcuts, and you can then drag them out to be seperate app icons
Thibaultmol What is possible would be to add shortcuts to specific models that have seen recent usage (e.g., like the Google Messages app does for recent text conversations). That way, if the user wants to create home screen shortcuts to many different models (for whatever reason), they could use a model, drag out the shortcut, use a different model, drag out the shortcut, etc.
More realistically though, it's not that I think there are lots of people who want shortcuts to many different models (although that is probably a reasonable use case if you use lots of custom prompts), it's that lots of people would benefit from a shortcut to whatever model they used most recently.
archpareto I'm not sure if Android shortcuts (the ones you see by long pressing the kagi icon) would be the best solution for that then though.
Because Android only allows 4 of these shortcuts and they're kind of already in use by the existing four.
What I think you maybe should make a separate kagifeedback about is:
ability to create custom shortcut icons via the kagi app to open specific models/settings in Assistant.
This can be done in Android using https://developer.android.com/develop/ui/views/launch/shortcuts/creating-shortcuts#pinned
