tbc: i'm asking for an ai image detector, i'm just asking for a thing where we can report websites that are just all ai images.

For example, i was searching for haircuts and a lot of the images are ai. And most of them are from websites that ONLY do AI images. So think having a toggle that can exclude these sites (which wouldn't be bullet proof OBV but it would atleast filter out a lot of them)

To reiterare, you want the ability to block or demote domains directly in image searches?
similar to what we do in the search results page

Btw @pixel just showed me you can actually already do this,

I'll mark this done. Please let us know if this doesn't solve your problem.

While you can already block domains and such, it's not always that I want to block a domain fully because they use ai images.

I was thinking more of a way to actually have an option where websites that only use ai images can be marked as such and be easily filtered out in the menu.

I know that changing the blocking level manually will help if enough people do it so that it starts doing it for other users. I don't know if for image search that's realistic.

I'm not asking for a filter option to filter out AI fully, because that's impossible at this point. But there's a lot of obvious ai image sites that people of don't want to see when they're trying to find actual images)

I'm not really sure how this can happen. Even with the expensive CV stuff, there's going to be a lot of false positives/negatives. Maybe try searching quiff 30 yo (ai OR generated)? Things that are obvious to human eye is not really obvious to machines and there is no reliable AI generated image detector yet.

gladiator2339 oh yeah i'm not expecting this to be anywhere near bullet proof .Just like: obvious ai sites like the one i mentioned, would be nice to filter those out easily. it would be a manual list like ublock lists and such.

It'd like to say: while I could manually add all of those sites to my personal block list... I only have 1000 slots in my personal block list which is not a lot plus I don't want it to get cluttered by all these websites It'd have to add

At the moment, AI images clog up the image results, with many sites explicitly being AI art (which would make filtering easier)

              Example:

The URLs of the AI images are as follows:

Either making an option to exclude all AI image sites or making it a lens (?). A more drastic solution would be to downrank these sites from Kagis site for all users.

I recently tried to search for "anime girl studying", and 50% of results are ai generated images. The more you scroll down, the closer that number is to 100%. Having a way to filter out such images would be good as ai-generated garbage is not what I'm looking for.

I manually added these to my kagi blocklist and i'm already noticing a massive reduction in ai results from my searches now. Is it perfect? no. Main problem is going to be stock image websites that host both regular and AI images. which just url blocking won't be able to block

Hey all, we have rolled out some experimental downranking of AI images. Please give it a try and let us know how it fares for you now. (All subject to balancing/change)

We are also playing with the idea of including a small badge on thumbnails that indicates the content may be AI generated, including a filter option, but haven't pushed that out yet.

I get really tired of looking for images and being completely overwhelmed with AI images. So many sites are pandering to AI generated content and I generally just do not want to see it. I understand that there are ways to rank individual websites within your own search results however that's very manual.

I would like to see an option to omit AI generated content from image searches. Or at least mark it as AI.

I do not support AI generated anything, as a life long artist. And while I don't want to get into any debate about whether it's acceptance or not, trying to find actual images about "spaceship concept art" are extremely unreliable to finding handmade art.

I'd imagine having information about what threshold of content from a domain is AI generated would be helpful here; for example madewithai.com (IDK if that's a real site just an example) would probably host a lot of AI content. Based on page and site data, the site could be given a numerical value of how much is AI generated, in this case maybe 90%.

Meanwhile a site like DeviantArt would probably be about 40% AI search results returned. Based on this info, images from these sites can be labeled as "AI-friendly" source or "AI Generated' if the image is unquestionably AI, such as having a description like "AI Gen image of two cats".

Users can set a threshold to what level of AI content they want to allow. Basically the same thing as safe search... Just for AI rather than mature content.
