When using the latest version of Safari Kagi extension, searching for any term with a space from the address bar creates two entries in history, one where the space is represented as a percent sign and another with a plus sign. For example, when searching for “test search”:
kagi.com/search?q=test%search
kagi.com/search?q=test+search
On macOS, this behavior also leads to a slight but noticeable flicker in the search bar when the original URL is replaced. I imagine the issue might stem from Safari extension limitations, but since I couldn’t find a similar issue, I thought I’d report it as a minor but annoying but in case there’s any hope of fixing it.
Only one history entry is created per search, and the address bar does not flicker.
