When a designated email address is sent a message with a question, turn this into an Assistant thread with the initial inbound email and reply as the first two messages, that can later be followed up on on the website.
Email would allow for quick "get back to it later" type research when an answer is not needed right away, and there can be circumstances where sending a quick message is possible but deep interaction with the Kagi site is not. But when an answer is received by email, it'd be nice to also switch to the website and do more review that way.
This would also make The Assistant more assistant-like for those of us who spend much of day on emails. So a typical workflow would look like:
- Someone is on-the-go or in their email client already and has a question
- They email Kagi
- This starts an Assistant thread and they get the initial reply by email
- The thread is now on the web interface and they can return to it later if follow-up questions are needed. Responses back-and-forth could become the Assistant thread, or the initial response could have a "Continue this conversation" link to go to thread on the web interface.
