In the documentation of assistant the privacy section states:
When you use the Assistant by Kagi, your data is never used to train AI models, and no account information is shared with the LLM providers. By default, threads expire after 24 hours of inactivity (can be adjusted in settings).
This is all fine and well, however I wonder how my threads are stored. If it is stored clear text in a db accessible to kagi staff, I’d like to know. And if so, I’d probably expire threads after 24 hours, not “never” that I have now.
I do hope it is stored encrypted, so not accessible to anyone but me (there are ways of doing that). Then of course “brag about it”. But if not, be open about it.
