The top menu on mobile should be more accessible once you have a long thread, as you need to scroll all the way up to get to menu to switch threads.
I would recommend that the hamburger icon be visible at all times (like a floating button) when the top menu is not visible, and the full top menu appear if you scroll up a bit, similar to the appearing behavior of the "bottom" arrow.
