For example, consider using 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 days as the set of available duration options, since each option doubles the duration of the previous one (and, this it aligns with the inherent nature of human perception being logarithmic).
Additionally, it may be helpful to round up the definition of a "day" to midnight, as opposed to using a strict 24-hour interval. For example, if a tag is set at noon for a duration of one day, then the item with the tag expires at midnight (not noon) on the following day. This approach seems more user-friendly, since it encompasses the intuitive definition of a "day."
