    Unfortunately providing quality search results is an expensive endeavor. Every single search we users perform costs Kagi approximately 1.5 cents. In addition to that you need to consider payment processor fees, and the fact that Kagi also needs their own margin to pay for salaries.

    It is also worth noting that a year ago the $10/month plan was given unlimited searches — before that it was also limited to, if I remember correctly, 1000 searches per month.

    In short, Kagi needs to stay sustainable which means unlimited searches for $5 won't happen.
