Cannot find svgs using “filetype”

Using the search terms:

festool 1010 filetype:svg
(Kagi url: https://kagi.com/search?q=festool+1010+filetype%3Asvg )

(built with the advanced feature) doesn’t give me svg files. It just gives me a search for all files.

IPad OS 17.5.1
Safari
International search is on
I am based in Italy; I don’t know my Kagi node.
Problem occurs with both settings: “Request Mobile Website” and “Request Desktop Website”.

When I try to create a lens for svg files, I also get this erroneous result.

I expected to see a list of svg files, similar to the way that using the search terms:

festool 1010 filetype:pdf
(Kagi url: https://kagi.com/search?q=festool+1010+filetype%3Apdf )

shows me pdf files:

The behaviour should be consistent for the filetype tag. And the lens for pdfs and svgs should also work consistently.

Since you are searching for images, wouldn't it make more sense for Kagi to show you .svg files in the images tab?
This appears to work as expected: https://kagi.com/images?q=car+filetype%3Asvg&id=0

Other search engines seem to simply return "no results found" when user tries to look for images in the web tab (or similar), but provide results as expected when performing an image search.

Now the question is, should Kagi default to displaying images when the query has filetype:svg,png,jpeg etc. in it?

laiz your example search does not return any results for me, ~~and do we know for certain that operators like filetype work in the image tab?~~

Only works for me if I sort by recency size or website, idk why, but otherwise it does want to return anything for me.
