I wanted to share results from a Kagi image search, but there is no simple way to do that.

(I think) I found a manual work-around:

  1. Get "Share this search" link for Web results.
  2. Copy &sh= url parameter
  3. Click on "Images"
  4. Combine updated Kagi URL with url parameter copied from step 2.

I think it is also possible to share the Kagi Web search, then tell the recipient to click the "Images" tab themselves.

Here is the context of what I wanted to share:

The "Share this search" link should be added to the other tabs (Images, Videos, etc):

  • In the "More" menu

  • At the bottom of the search results

    The link should function like the link on the results for the Web tab.

    Steps to reproduce:
    On Safari (iOS):

    • Search for any query
    • Click the button beside Web
    • No "Share This Search"

    However, it does appear when using Orion and on Firefox desktop (Windows 11). I'm only seeing this in Safari (iOS) so far.

      yokoffing This button is only supported on web results currently.

          I just caught that lol. I noticed I was clicking on "News" before doing anything else. My bad -- but good to know.
