Personally, I have subscription fatigue and would rather not subscribe monthly or annually. I would love to have an option to buy a block of searches similar to usenet model instead of subscribing month to month.
The current cost for monthly subscription is $5 for 300 searches and I read from discussions here that microtransaction really eat into margins. I was thinking something along the lines of starting at $10 for 400 searches that do not expire. $20 for 900, $30 for 1500, etc. etc. For those that search more, the monthly and annual subscription would still make much more sense as users get more searches per dollar. Your company can also gate AI summaries behind monthly and annual plans as additional incentives.
