Automatic login in private window doesn't work in firefox

Opening private window in firefox and trying to search requires log in even though I have the extension installed and the extension has a session token.
In the extension in private window I see a green checkmark with title "Session found!", so perhaps it doesn't set correct cookie / doesn't communicate with the site? I did see a kagi_session flash in cookies section under storage in inspect, but it still wants me to log in and refresh doesn't fix it, nor does trying to go to search directly (redirects back to login)

Automatic log in like it used to work, this seems like a regression or a weird bug.

I'd venture to claim that this is the case. There have been no other reports like this as of late, and I was able to install the Kagi extension and enable private browsing access on my Firefox installation without any issues. I know it's annoying but could you sign out of Kagi, uninstall the extension, and redo everything from there — if that doesn't solve the issue, we've got something interesting in our hands.

I should've tried that first, that did fix it - logged out, installed extension, logged back in. Weird that it stopped working, especially since the extension in private window still showed the token and checkmark..
