Similar to what Google, Bing etc. If you have an image it's much quicker to iterate the search by selecting different areas rather than cropping it in an external tool and re-uploading multiple times.
Below is how Bing has it. The uploaded image to the left with a resizable box, and search results to the right. Google and Yandex has a similar layout.
