Universal summarizer can't find transcript: yet finds transcript for slightly different URL edition

No transcript can be found on youtube video to summarizer it but indeed there is a transcript

Problem resolved after updating ublock origin to 1.59.0 . No option to delete this post on my part.

In the last few weeks, I got the "Sorry, no transcript could be found for this video." error almost every time I used the Universal Summarizer for YouTube videos--even if there is a transcript.

It didn't work for me.

I guess alternative, is just to copy the transcript and prompt like this:

Summarize:
<video transcript>

@Fracture, I'll merge this thread with a similar report. We implemented a temporary fix based on BillyBunn suggestion but are still working on a permanent solution.

@BillyBunn I noticed if you let the video play with the transcript opened as in your method for sometime there is a higher success of getting the summary

Transcription not consistently fetched for YouTube Live recordings or long videos.

yt-dlp is able to find and download subtitles/transcript just fine for both of these.

Yeah, same issue here. It is just super annyoing. Universal Summarizer was my go-to app to get info out of videos and the main reason I subscribed. Now it is just unreliable.
It seems to be an easy fixable issue though. I reported the same issue in another app amd they fixed it in a few minutes.
