Suggestion
- Add nested bulleting and formatting (headers/bold/italics) to summary responses.
- Bonus: allow users to click on a sentence to "elaborate" on details of a bullet
- Exactly how would depend on other design considerations. (e.g how much should summaries pull from 'knowledge'/outside? what if the info necessary to elaborate isn't provided in the given material? can we say something like "I couldn't find anything in the video but [...]?)
Why?
Minor summary response nitpicks.
- Scanning inefficiency
- The
Key Moments
summary type currently displays bullets a sentence at a time, which visually breaks sentences up, but doesn't do much to aid in scanning.
- Too summarized?
- Summary necessarily requires some information loss, but it would be nice to have a quick gateway from summary -> more details or explanation
How would users use this functionality?
i. User asks for summary of material
ii. Response is provided in format of:
- Topic shorthand (maybe bolded)
- Additional details for the topic which may themselves include additional formatting.
- Even deeper-nested bullets if required. Allows for front-end tweaking to de-emphasize details (or if plain markup is desired: at least allows users to visually cluster related material)
iii. (Optionally): afford ui conveniences (anchors, popover-on-select) to expand on materials from the summary
