Upload files to Custom Assistants

+1 - this would be incredibly helpful. I can upload documents like my W-2s or tax docs (redacted ofc) and engage with it to help me improve my financial or tax planning, and I don't trust Claude / OAI with my data.

achilles I have sorta-kinda gotten around this by using DigitalOcean file buckets to store PDFs and then I create a custom assistant to point to the bucket PDF URLs. I don't LIKE this solution, but I accept it as a work-around.

I would love to see this feature come to Kagi Assistant. This functionality is the one thing that still ties me to tools like ChatGPT or Perplexity. For example, I have many diet restrictions and love that I can upload documents my doctors have provided to a ChatGPT project and ask it if I can eat X or if it can give me a meal that fits my diet restrictions.
