Medical Lens

When searching for medical information, there can be lots of blog spam when you are often only looking for content from well established resources like Mayo Clinic or the National Library of Medicine.

Having a default lens for this seems like a huge benefit to folks that are in situations where they need to be doing their best to find out what is ailing themselves or their loved ones.

jzelinskie Perhaps as a first step create one such lens yourself and share it here so others can share their thoughts?

My personal opinion is that since Mayo Clinic is an ad monetized website itt:

a) will have inherent conflict of interest (medical information presented will inherently be biased towards what their advertisers approve)
b) the purpose of the existence of content on its website is in not to inform and educate the reader but to maximize ad impressions.

So I am always cautious when we create any such lists and we try to include sites that do not run ads, affiliate links etc.
