When Research Assistant includes a reference in an answer, it would save time to be able to get the Summarizer overview of the link without having to copy and paste the URL into a plain search with !sum bang. This could be done by either having a summarizer link after the main reference link, or having research assistant recognize a question for more information about a link as a request to invoke summarizer and copy the results into the research assistant chat:

As references are a big part of what sets Research Assistant aside from the other chat modes, this would be helpful for most searches.
