Maybe redirects can have a toggle for this behaviour.
If you want to redirect reddit.com
to old.reddit.com
, you have to overwrite more than 70 bangs that include reddit.com as a domain. If you want to redirect wikipedia.org
to the mobile version, that would be more than 440 bangs. If you want to redirect Google Translate to DeepL, you could end up with a few hundred overwrites, and probably more in the future.
I realize that most users will only use a handful of bangs from day to day. However, for a consistent experience, I think it would be nice if users had the option to add redirects for all existing bangs without having to manually overwrite them.
