Removing search results from site does not actually remove search results from the site

I performed a search and excluded results from the site "medium.com". The search ran again, with the exclusion parameter for medium.com, but I still received results from medium.com. See screenshot:

My expectation was that I would not see any results from medium.com.

Try maintainable module css react -medium.com. That worked for me.

This should already be fixed after some changes we did to site operators a while back.
I can no longer reproduce.
