Allow users to view cached pages

Is there a difference between a search engines cached version of the web page and viewing the page in the web archive? If not, Kagi already offers this by leveraging the internet archive.

Google's cached pages would update each time they were indexed and reachable.
The Web Archive takes for ever to load, only has sporadic backups of the page, and this could mean the Web Archive version does not even contain any of the search results' text.

The whole point of offering cached pages is that the search engine will be able to instantly show you the exact context it indexed (i.e. the reason why the site showed up in the search results in the first place) even though the actual page may have been changed or removed. Archive.org has little to do with this,

Given that there's only one archive.org, and also the precarious situation that the archive finds itself in - please implement this.

Google's decision to abandon this feature was another nail in their coffin, from my perspective. Also, it's data that intrinsically you must be storing already. Is there any reason why you wouldn't offer this feature?

I agree. This is the only thing stopping me from paying for Kagi ATM
Today.archive, DDG,, etc and Web Archive are slow, sometimes unreachable and don't index "aesthetically"

It's worth noting that archive.org costs something like $30m every year to run.

The actual operating cost is much lower than that. Also, duckduckgo still has cache available with a little hackery.

Noticed someone mentioned internet archive. Internet archive is okay in a pinch but has frequent downtime. Does not do cached archive of text on some pages and has been notoriously slow to respond at times when it does work
