Hi everyone, yesterday we experienced a surge in no results found errors due to problems with one of our upstream sources. This caused some unexpected issues in our end. These problems were fully resolved by 04:00 UTC today. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Look up “how to subcutaneous less painful?” And nothing will show up but other searches will show.

It just says We haven't found anything.
There are no results for the query.

After retrying a few times it pulled up the ai answer but no results.

It should return results about injections.

+1 for this. I’ve been encountering occasional issues all day today. Most recent example was when I searched “Justfile” I got the error as described above, but when I changed it to “Justfiles” I got search results as expected.

I would expect "python import caching" to return results. Google does return results.

I was trying to remember "Goodhart's law", so searched for: any metric that becomes a target

On Kagi I got no results:

But on Google I got a bunch of results, the first being the Wikipedia page for Goodhart's law.

With my region set to Canada-en I get the following both with and without quotations:

Searching for the correct text of Goodhart's Law (when a measure becomes a target) also yields the correct results.

Thanks for testing. Just tried again and it's working now, so either it was some weird temporary fault or somebody fixed something.

drguildo Yes, this is a common transient fault.

I've seen this with a lot of different queries back when I first started using Kagi. But when looking into the results google gave me when Kagi gave me none, I found they were garbage. Either irrellevant, not what I was looking for or just some ads.

I prefer the search engine just tells me it doesn't have anything instead of serving me garbage

I was looking for old logitech mouse models. Weirdly, logitech mouse old returns literally zero results. Google immediately shows a helpful Reddit post:

Searching for 'when was jfk assassinated' from the Orion browser's URL/search bar, on iPhone (OS 26).

This was reproducible at the time. I thought it was a little odd not to see any results.

I expected to be shown a search result page, like the one I now see by searching for the identical query.

I'm very aware this is a useless bug report; but I've not seen this behaviour before from Kagi, and can only assume it is some form of bug that is worth reporting to you.
