Emails Are Case Sensitive

When resetting a password, the emails are case sensitive.
Mobile devices often capitalize first letters so this could be a common mistake

So if I signed up with
User@emailprovider.com
and try to reset password to
user@emailprovider.com

A reset email is never sent. This is the only service I've used where that it the case.

emails shouldn't be case sensitive or at least the reset feature should take both cases into account.

Hello,

I cannot reproduce this issue - we do downcase your email in that flow - and I just confirmed it works correctly even when using randomized casing for my own account.

If you give it a try again and it still happens, there might be another underlying issue that we can solve if you reach out to support@kagi.com with your email so we can take a look.

I was trying to reset my password for a bit yesterday and never got email, tried a few times.

Went back to the monthly invoice and noticed my email had the first letter capitalized.
When I tried to reset with the capitalized letter it worked immediately. I set up the password and now it's correctly.

Could it be because I originally signed up with Microsoft Login ?
Now when I try reset it works with either capitalization.

Ah. It is semi related to Microsoft Login (and other sign in with methods) but I know the underlying issue now.
We'll get a fix out for this.
