A new "old" way to browse YouTube. I like the kinds of content that the "Small YouTube" feature has uncovered. YouTube search has been plagued by the same issues as Google search. YouTube searches hide videos from small creators and promote videos that increase ad revenue. Is it possible to expand "Small YouTube" into a full search engine for YouTube videos?
When searching for YouTube videos, its's hard to find relevant content using the built in YouTube search. YouTube search tries to promote videos to increase ad revenue instead of delivering the video that you are seeking. Implementing a search algorithm that shows results based on the video title, content of the video description, likes on the video, and content of the video while not overpromoting large channels would be very useful. Also the ability to not show YouTube Shorts in results would be a very useful filter.
