If I search "100 usd" Kagi will tell me that's "about 92.80 euros". If I do the same in Google, it will tell me that's "1 039,98 Swedish Krona".
I think when entering a currency search without specifying a target currency, it should convert to your region's currency. For some regions, this might be ambiguous, but for a lot of reasons there is a sane default answer.
For example, if I have the "Sweden" region selected, unless I specify a target currency, a sane default would be SEK (swedish crowns).

I predict that an argument against this is that some region's "default" currency might not be clear. I think that's understandable, but I don't think that should hinder this being implemented in regions with clear answers.
