System Default theme always uses light theme's theme colour even when it's using dark theme.
For demonstration purposes, light theme's theme colour is set as green, and dark theme as red.
When you select System Default as a theme, red does get set as a theme colour, but it always returns to green when you either refresh the page or search something.
Reproduction steps:
- Set theme colour in
Appearance -> Custom CSS -> Theme Color to two different colours.
- Try switching between System Default/Light/Dark theme.
- Observe that theme colour is getting set correctly.
- Try refreshing the page with System Default theme, with (OS) dark mode set.
- Observe that theme colour uses light theme's theme colour, instead of dark theme's.
I'd expect the 'System Default' theme to use dark theme's theme colour when dark mode is enabled on the OS.
