I see this is marked as Done, but to me this does not look solved, it still looks like in the screenshot above when getting results from Chat Assistant.

Seconded. Here's a comparison of the expected behavior of latex markup in OpenAI's site (ChatGPT 3.5) vs. how it's handled by GPT 4 Turbo in Kagi.

I tried asking Chat Assistant a math problem but it didn't render any latex text correctly, even though Research Assistant did.

Ask Chat mode a math question that would invoke the usage of latex formatting, such as "find the derivative using logarithmic differentiation of y = e^x * 5^x"
