It would be nice if Kagi implemented the IndexNow API that allows site owners to notify the engine about new content:

As far as I can tell Kagi currently doesn't have similar functionality. It would make sense to implement an existing standard instead of reinventing the wheel (incl. API schematics, ownership verification, etc.)
As the owner of a Small Web website I want to make my content discoverable via Kagi, so I'd use the IndexNow API to automatically submit any new content I create.
This would provide better search results as the database would be more up-to-date.
This would also be an enabler for Small Web sites with few/no inlinks.
Bing already implements this API.
