Results don't align with region (Québec subjects don't show up when set in region "Canada")

When searching for Québec-themed subjects when the regional parameter is set to "Canada", results are of poor quality : the official website is often buried, sometimes obvious results are missing.

Here are a few examples that, I hope, show it :

Québec Science is a popular scientific magazine. Its website (quebecscience.qc.ca) doesn't show up when searching with https://kagi.com/search?q=qu%C3%A9bec+science&r=ca, but is the first result for https://kagi.com/search?q=qu%C3%A9bec+science&r=no_region . I thought it might be due to its TLD being .qc.ca.
Each election year, the Finance ministry of Québec publishes its "rapport préélectoral", a report on the state of public finances. No results for https://kagi.com/search?q=rapport+pr%C3%A9%C3%A9lectoral&r=ca, but both the official report and its analysis by the Auditor are top results for https://kagi.com/search?q=rapport+pr%C3%A9%C3%A9lectoral&r=no_region . Both these organizations' domain ends in .qc.ca.
The national power provider, Hydro-Québec, has a dedicated page for power outages ("pannes", in French). The English version is the top result for https://kagi.com/search?q=hydro+qu%C3%A9bec+pannes&r=ca, but the French page is on top for https://kagi.com/search?q=hydro+qu%C3%A9bec+pannes&r=no_region
Laurier Québec, still commonly referred to as "Place Laurier", is one of the country's largest shopping mall. When searching for https://kagi.com/search?q=place+laurier&r=ca, the official website (laurierquebec.com) if fourth. It climbs to first for https://kagi.com/search?q=place+laurier&r=no_region.
La Presse is one of the largest newspapers in Québec. https://kagi.com/search?q=la+presse&r=ca shows an infobox, but the first result is its Wikipedia pages. https://kagi.com/search?q=la+presse&r=no_region seems to show more meaningful results, like its homepage (lapresse.ca).

I suggest that you make your queries in French.Now there are two new regions for Canada: Canada (en) and Canada (fr). If I use this new French region, I will get the results you want for your queries.

It will help if you switch the region to Canada (fr) or add &r=ca_fr to the search URL.

I feel silly for not noticing the "ca_fr" region. This definitely solves my report. This is not a bug, but an error on my part.

There are still many queries where the expected website locale isn't pulled up.

For example, if I search for "Ooma" with my region set to "Canada (CA - fr)", the US website (.com) ranks first in the results. It's followed by the Canadian website (.ca), but it's the English version instead of the French version.
