Currently the Custom AI Assistant only takes text input via the dialogue box. This feature would entail adding the ability to upload documents just like in Research Mode to get a summary and discussion but based on the Custom Assistant prompt. This idea was inspired by Customizable Multiple AI Assistant Prompts with User-Defined !bang Commands as well as my own enjoyment of Kagi's amazing AI features and their potential.
The basic use case I have in mind is that I frequently find myself uploading documents for Kagi to summarize or to ask Kagi questions about, but often those documents are domain-specific and so the summarization and discussion would benefit from a custom prompt such as what Kagi's Custom AI Assistant feature enables.
Feature Suggestion:
- When (1) the Custom Kagi Assistant Base Mode is set to "Research" and (2) the user is in Custom Assistant mode, (3) add an option to upload a document, just like when Research mode is selected (see below).
- Upon upload of a document, the document is summarized with the option to "Ask a follow-up question," just like in Research mode, but this summarization and discussion is informed by the Custom AI Assistant prompt.
