the link to the location apparently links without the scheme which causes the page to load under the current domain as though it were a path instead of redirecting to a new website.

the copied url also doesn't have a scheme but it's less of a problem since you paste it into the browser or elsewhere and you don't have the context of the browser assuming it's under the same website.
I happen to be on windows/desktop but I assume this would impact mobile as well.
