I often search for recent additions and updates so bang don’t quite work. IMO it’s in everyone interest
to have this system-way.
Now I either
- I make one query instead of two, increasing load on system and often spinning around irrelevant results
- Play tweak game trying to figure out what’s the best time clamp for the search.
I’d like to suggest an extra solution - two tiered result (or reordering based on results). Or maybe even a lens that allow for prioritization.
E.g. with such setting enabled and set to 1 year searching for „ANC” would yield recent reviews, releases etc. From one year first, but then still return top ranked result from other years. If I’d search for „Darude - Sandstorm” there could be even a mention (no hits in recent period).
IMO such setting would decrease the cost while providing relevant result for me much quicker.
